"Home" conveys a sense of alienation and vulnerability, providing a melancholic response to the statement "anywhere can be home". The work consists of nine photos of Brisbane's streets which the commercial and public transport signages are digitally manipulated to the word "home". Photographed in late hours, the work depicts closed shopfronts and public transport in the usually bustling suburb of South Bank where I once resided. "Home" draws from the sentiment of displacement and distress, of which I am experiencing personally.
